Sirius Buying Group has celebrated a quarter-century milestone with its largest annual Trade Show to date, bringing together more than 450 members, suppliers and partners.

The anniversary event showcased over 35 Approved Suppliers and Service Providers displaying the latest product innovations and exclusive promotions from leading brands including BSH, Haier, Hotpoint, Midea, AEG, Rangemaster, Smeg, CDA, Glen Dimplex, Montpellier, Bluestem Group, Symphony and JJO.

For independent retailers navigating an increasingly competitive market, the one-day event delivered prime opportunity to explore the latest market trends, engage with suppliers and secure exclusive show-only deals. The gathering underlined the collective strength that drives Sirius' proposition: 25 years of helping independent electrical and kitchen retailers compete through shared buying power whilst retaining their autonomy.

Steve Jones, Managing Director at Sirius Buying Group, said: "Twenty-five years is a long time in this industry, and to still be growing, still be welcoming new Members and still have Suppliers backing us the way they do says everything about the people in this Group. Hearing Members talk about what Sirius has meant to their businesses was a proud moment, and a reminder of the important job we have to support the independent electrical and kitchen retailer."

The awards ceremony that evening recognised excellence across the membership. Built-In Kitchen Appliances won Retailer of the Year – Large, Blackwood Appliances took the Medium award, and Design Kitchens by Protech won Kitchen Retailer of the Year. BSH secured Supplier of the Year – Large for an impressive fourth consecutive year, with Montpellier winning the Medium award and both Eurosonic Group and Bluestem Group recognised as SDA Supplier of the Year.

A new accolade, the Spirit of Sirius award, recognised someone who has gone the extra mile for the Group. The inaugural winner was Lyn Knight. Hotpoint, Rangemaster and Product Care Group took home Best Stand awards across different categories.

The anniversary celebration carried particular resonance. A specially produced film featured Members sharing memories of their time with Sirius and how membership has benefitted their businesses. Entertainment from comedian and ventriloquist Nina Conti added to the occasion, as guests celebrated together and deepened client relationships.

Mark Veysey, Operations Director at Sirius Buying Group, said: "What an incredible day! The effort that went into the stands this year was exceptional and the atmosphere on the floor was fantastic from the moment the doors opened. It's been brilliant to see everyone come together in our anniversary year."

The event, which took place on September 16, also strengthened Sirius' commitment to good causes. The Trade Show raised further funds for OCHRE, the Oesophageal Cancer Charity, bringing the running total to £13.5K through donations from Approved Suppliers and Members.

With 25 years established and momentum building, Sirius continues to welcome new members, reinforcing its position as a collective force supporting independent retailers in an evolving market landscape.
